Adeje South University will begin courses on September 10th
The Adeje councillor for education, Andrés Pérez Ramos, commented that the return to school in the borough seems to have gone off smoothly. From the councillor’s point of view, “we have done our homework to ensure that the 2014-2015 course has begun well”. He continued, “during the summer we carried out a number of reformatin and expansion works that were essential to guarantee that the education centres were ready for the new academic year”.

The works in question saw investment of over €60,000 in various centres and included painting and repair of interior walls, damp-proofing, some bathroom upgrades, new drainage, access zones to centres for pupils with mobility needs, repaving, exterior wall and green zone upgrades, construction of ramps, installation of drinking fountaints, etc.
Infant and primary schools reopened today, September 8th, and secondary schools will welcome pupils back on September 16th. The Adeje South University Campus will see classes begin on September 10th although the official inauguration of term will take place on Friday September 12th in the Convento de San Francisco at 12 midday in the presence of the Rector of the Universidad of La Laguna, Eduardo Domenech, and the mayor of Adeje, José Miguel Rodríguez Fraga.
