Room service for cancer families!
The Hotel Atlantic Holiday Centre in Callao Salvaje has donated 10 week-long holidays to the local branch of the Spanish Cancer Association and the Adeje council to give to families in the region who have someone suffering from cancer.
The initiative was welcomed by Adeje health councillor Amada Trujillo Bencomo as “very positive, as those who are affected by cancer are also under a huge amount of stress during their palliative care. Now they can use this week to relax, enjoy some leisure time with their family, and be looked after by the hotel staff. This will contribute to their recuperation, and the staff in the holiday complex will be delighted to welcome them”.
Hotel director Charlotte Abildtrup said “we want to help these people and their families relax a little and escape from some of the stress they are experiencing as a result of their cancer. We know they are fighters and that they are facing difficulties on a daily basis. That’s why we want to offer ten families the chance to enjoy what the hotel has to offer this summer, a week where they can enjoy some quiet time with us”.
Councillor Trujillo Bencomo added, “this gesture from the heart by people such as Charlotte do show that there is kindness without conditions, without barriers, people who only want to help”.
