Dire Straits, led by Mark Knopfler, split over 20 years ago, leaving behind an outstanding catalogue of music and songs that have grown in stature over time. The band sold over 120 million albums and won the hearts and souls of millions of fans all over the world. Those fans were in need of a replacement so some of the original members – Alan Clark, Chris White and Phil Palmer – formed The Straits, staging a show in The Royal Albert Hall in 2011. Knopfler was now enjoying a successful solo career so Clark called on Terence Reis to be the front man, and within three and a half years they had played 150 concerts in 25 countries around the world.
