The Tenerife School for Football Trainers in collaboration with the Adeje department of sports, with Adolfo Alonso Ferrera at the helm, are now accepting applications for the Federation Football Base Level 1 Trainer, which will take place during July in the El Galeón Sports Pavillion.

According to Alonso Ferrera the council, through this course, is ensuring that those in charge of football training in the borough are properly qualified to do so. He said “for the third consecutive year the Tenerife School of Trainers has chosen this borough as the HQ for trainers in the south of Tenerife, principally because Adeje offers the kind of infrastructure which allows for this level of training”.

This is an intensive course lasting for one month, and those who complete the training will be well qualified. The course has a number of different aspects including theoretical, tactical, examining the psycology of the game and those who play and offering detailed practical skills with the main objective being the improvement of the team.

Everton F.C. in Adeje

ADEJE-evertone liga inglesa de futbol en el tenerife top training (5)

Fifth placed Everton were in Adeje last week undergoing a five day intensive winter training session in the Tenerife Top Training club.

According to club sources the ‘away’ training session was to help the team recover from a gruelling four-game glut, as well as preparing physically and mentally for the rest of the season.

Everton are currently coached by Spaniard Roberto Martínez who congratulated Adeje for the excellence of its sporting installations and for the warm welcome the team received during their stay.

Councillors for Sport and Tourism, Adolfo Alonso and Rafael Dolado, respectively, alongside T3 owner Roberto Konrad, paid an official visit to the team and talked about the importance of having such a training facility in Adeje and the excellence of the climatic conditions as well as the installations.

Roberto Martínez said “the south of Tenerife is an ideal location for pre-season training as well, and it’s important that it augments capacity to allow more teams at this level to train here.”.

This is the second time that Roberto Martínez has chosen T3 for a winter training session, given that in Everton’s home town the weather conditions mean outdoor training is virtually impossible.

Javier Alonso Bello Selected

JAVIER ALONSO BELLO
Adeje footballer Javier Alonso Bello has been named in the regional under-16 football team.

Glasgow Bhoys Are Victorious

MAIN TOURNAMENT WINNERS 2013 GLASGOW BHOYS

Soccer Experience Tenerife
The 8th Annual Masters Soccer Experience Football Tournament was held in the Las Torres Sports complex on November 9th and 10th, with many ex-professionals from the English and Scottish premier leagues as well as local over-35 teams who play every week here in South Tenerife taking part.
Many of the invited players come from all over the world to take part in this annual event, to combine a weekend in Tenerife with some fun football, though on the second day, when the titles are at stake, the competitive edge is obvious.
During the second day of competition local cheerleading troupe the Tenerife Tigers also entertained the local crowd.
As in previous years, the local teams are well prepared for the visiting sides, but this year it was two teams of ex-professionals who won both trophies. The Nottingham Forest Mobsters won the Plate and the overall champions were the Glasgow Bhoys. Adeje Sport Councillor Adolfo Alonso Ferrera presented them with the cup on Sunday evening at the end of two days of sport and entertainment.
Tournament organiser Martin Tierney said he was delighted with the success of the tournament and thanked Adeje council for their ongoing support.

PLATE WINNERS 2013 NOTTINGHAM FOREST MOBSTERS

Free Fun Football

Nottingham Forest v CWM LONDON KNIGHTS BEFORE PLATE FINAL 2012The Soccer Experience Tenerife International over 35s is here again – your chance to watch some of the footie stars of just a few years ago here in Adeje – playing against your neighbours and best mates!
On the 8th 9th & 10th November 2013 Soccer Experience’s eighth annual over 35s Soccer tournament is taking place in the Las Torres Sports Complex. There will be plenty of teams traveling from the U.K including a lot of ex professional players from the English Premiership, the Scottish Premier League and La Liga – and you get to watch them play some local ex-pat teams absolutely free. The tournament is on Friday 8th Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th November held at the fantastic Adeje Las Torres Sports Complex just off exit 79B on the TF1 (McDonalds and Mercadona exit off the TF1). All Tenerife football fans are welcome over the weekend.
This years 2013 Tournament will be fun from start to finish and one of the nicest aspects of this year’s tournament is that an over 35s team will be made up of many ex Nottingham Forrest players including guys like ex England and Manchester United star Neil Webb, ex Manchester United, Ipswich and Jamaica star David Johnson also this year recently retired Championship star striker Jack Lester and many other ex Forest stars wwill on the pitch as well.
Don’t think these ex-pros will run rings around the local sides either – over the years the ex-pat teams have worked hard to prepare for this tournament, and get better and better, sometimes putting the visiting teams to shame! But while it might be rivalry on the pitch, off the pitch it’s great fun and very friendly indeed.
The games are no longer than 15 minutes, and you can come along at any time of the day, so why not drop in for a bit of senior soccer magic and a laugh or two to boot.
Soccer Experience would like to say a special thanks to John Fawcett, Dean Locke and Martin Cooke and their Royale International Company for their great ongoing support and friendship. Also very special note is we have some of the Forest team flying in from as far Hong Kong and Toronto. The ex pro teams will have to play well and use their vast experience as they are not the favorites to win the tournament!!! Previous winners Glasgow Bhoys, also Otch’s Liverpool Victoria will fancy their chances again and also a local Tenerife team who always play so well in the tournament is Silverpoint Vacations from our local Soccer Experience league and then let’s not foget the surprise package last year but worthy winners – Club la Costa and Shaine Hope and the boys are looking very strong and are favourites to regain the title as they have had a great year playing in the weekly Soccer Experience leagues in Tenerife.
This is also a wonderful opportunity and special note for any footballers out there over 35s years old who would like to play against some ex pros…some of the social travelling teams have asked for one or two more players so if you would like to play with some new friends please contact us ASAP if you fancy turning back the clock to your school playground days!!
Another extra special (GLEE) note and treat is that the award winning Tenerife Tigers of the Let’s Dance school from Callao Salvaje, and recently back from Madrid where they won 12 trophies at national level, will be performing a wonderful cheer leader and dance routine at the tournament. A real not-to-be missed event.

Soccer Experience would also like to say a massive thankyou to our great friend and supporter Ivan Rhodes and family and all the gang at Club Olympus along with the many other people involved in the tournament and because of everyone pulling together it truly is a very enjoyable fiesta of football for all!  Martin Tierney of Soccer Experience speaking on the English Time radio programme yesterday also thanked all the personell in the Las Torres sports centre and the council for their help, “without Adeje council this tournament simply couldn’t happen”,  he said.
Don’t forget, entry is absolutely free during the two day tournament, so please bring the family down and cheer on ex legends and all the slow motion local players. More information please call: 654200470
