The Adeje council have just published the requirements for financial aid for students in many courses in third level education (2017-2018) at university or attending recognised professional training centres. The assistance is for Adeje residents who have been on the padrón for at least six months.
The norms for application and allocation were approved at an ordinary Town Hall meeting on April 18th 2018 and are available (in Spanish) on the Adeje webpage, www.adeje.es. People can apply from today, June 5th, 2018 until July 2nd and the paperwork needs to be presented to the department of Education in the Adeje cultural centre. Applicants will need to present documentation showing the centre they are registered in, the course they are studying, results from last year’s exams, and financial statements regarding family income, as the grants are means tested.
The offices are open, Mon – Fri, 9am – 2pm, or you can request an appointment by calling 922-75-62-00 ext 4243.
Costs covered by the grants may include transport, accommodation, books and materials. “We these grants we are working to help and encourage Adeje students to continue their studies this year”, said councillor Adolfo Alonso Ferrera.
When the application period is finished the department will publish a list of those who may need to add further information/documentation. Successful applicants will receive between €500 – €550, according to individual circumstances. All notices regarding the process will be posted in the official council channels
